Hello everyone! On my way home, I decided to stop by a “free” Supercharger, out of curiosity, as I still had about 130km of battery left but only 30km to go home. I thought I’d just pop in for 10 minutes to see what it’s like.
So, I decided to visit my brother in Haifa from Netanya, covering a total distance of 68km. Then, I had to pick up a friend from Ben Gurion Airport, Haifa to Ben Gurion (118km). I drove around the airport a bit while waiting, adding nearly 4km, and then from the airport to Azrieli (Supercharger) was about 21km. That’s a total of 211km to the Supercharger – and then back home.
I drove without holding back, at speeds ranging from 14 to sometimes 18. My efficiency was below par (61%).

I used up 68% of the battery for 211km, and that’s when I realized that for very long distances, it’s best to not exceed 100 – 110km/h with no sudden accelerations, preferably in Chill Mode. How Tesla claims a range of 570km, I’m not sure.
If you were to drive from Netanya to Eilat, which is 380km, you’d definitely need to charge in Beer Sheva.
Today, the Supercharger was free, but parking at Azrieli cost me 20 shekels for 15 minutes. Ideally, I should have charged to full since I’d already paid for parking… I charged up to 305km and headed home, as my friend was waiting to get home after his flight. (I usually charge up to 90% = 448km at home).
In conclusion, if you drive at speeds up to 140km/h, the battery should last at least 300 – 350km. Which is more than enough for a small country like Israel. Yesterday, Tesla published a roadmap until the end of 2021, planning 9 Superchargers in Israel.
Also, I noticed that I’ve been driving much more than usual… 1500km just like that in 4 weeks.
Good luck to all.
