Greetings everyone!
I recently embarked on a project to enhance the interior of my Tesla, primarily to replace the white fabric ceiling that had been a source of annoyance for me.
The Challenge of Finding the Right Material The main hurdle was sourcing the material. Unfortunately, obtaining authentic Alcantara in Israel is nearly impossible, except through specialized workshops, and the prices start steeply at $350 per meter. Alternatives similar to Alcantara weren’t readily available either, often sold in bulk quantities of 10 meters or more.
An attempt to purchase Alcantara from eBay in England resulted in disappointment. The material advertised as Alcantara turned out to be a simple curtain fabric. I’m still in the process of returning this unsatisfactory product and getting my money back.
Success with Tasman USA After much discussion with experts in the field, I finally sourced the material from Tasman USA, a reputable American company.
I purchased 7 square meters of this premium fabric and collaborated with Sergey from Bavarian Motors in Netanya for the installation.
Installation Process Unfortunately, I don’t have many photos to show all the intricacies of the process. For now, I had to retrieve my car while the roof is still under work. One noticeable temporary downside is that only two speakers are functioning without the connected roof, and the microphones are also currently inactive.
Final Touches In a follow-up to this project, today, we painted the details and laser-cut the button. The final step of reassembly is underway, as I’ve just been called for the installation.
The Result The car is now fully reassembled, boasting a stunningly revamped interior that breathes new life and luxury into my Tesla.
Conclusion This journey of transforming my Tesla’s interior has been both challenging and rewarding. The end result is a testament to the power of persistence and the pursuit of quality in every detail.

Stay tuned for more updates and adventures with my Tesla!
