Release Notes for Update 2023.44.30.11
Tesla has rolled out its latest Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta v12.1.1 in the update 2023.44.30.11, introducing a significant enhancement in autonomous driving technology. Currently, this update is not applicable in Israel. The update is available for Tesla models S, 3, X, and Y.
The highlight of FSD Beta v12.1.1 is the complete overhaul of the city-street driving stack. This version replaces the previous 300,000 lines of explicit C++ code with a singular, comprehensive end-to-end neural network. This advanced neural network has been meticulously trained on millions of video clips, marking a significant leap in Tesla’s pursuit of fully autonomous driving.
What’s New in 2023.44.30.10 Release Notes
Prior to this, Tesla released the FSD Beta v12.1 for internal testing among selected Tesla employees. This update laid the groundwork for the more advanced v12.1.1 and is also available for models S, 3, X, and Y, not relevant for Israeli customers.
Enhancements in Reverse Driving Functions
The 2023.44.30.10 update brought notable improvements to Tesla’s reverse driving functions, accessible to Tesla drivers worldwide. This update includes two major enhancements:
- Visualization of Reverse Lane Markers: When the vehicle is put in reverse, the display now shows reverse lane markers, outlining the projected path of the vehicle.
- Dynamic Object Distance Calculation: For Teslas equipped with ultrasonic sensors, the update introduces a dynamic calculation of the distance to objects behind the vehicle. This distance now varies depending on the position of the steering wheel, providing a more intuitive and safer reversing experience.
Supercharger Amenities Now Viewable on Map
An additional, yet significant feature in the update 2023.44.30.10 is the ability to view Supercharger amenities on the map. This worldwide available feature enhances the user experience by allowing Tesla drivers to easily access and view each amenity’s location directly on their vehicle’s map. This convenient addition is available for models S, 3, X, and Y.
