I had the opportunity to purchase the Enhanced Autopilot for my Tesla at a relatively low price for Israel – 13200 shekels, instead of the regular 19900 plus various taxes.
The UPGRADES store is officially closed in Israel, but a workaround method is known in certain circles. Tesla has been notified about this bug, and for now, the “loophole” can’t be disclosed. However, this loophole opens up even more interesting possibilities, which I unfortunately can’t write about here (as Tesla has patched this vulnerability). Later, they canceled the purchase and refunded the money for the autopilot, which I was actually quite happy about, as it turned out to be a waste of money. The way this thing parks is comparable to my 13-year-old son’s skills, and driving with it on the highway requires strong nerves – in short, it’s quite a driver. I personally decided that it’s not for me. Even if it were offered for free, how can one use it? And paying for it… Perhaps in 2024, things might have changed… But I highly doubt it. If any Tesla representatives are reading this, I’m ready to be a beta tester and publish a retraction. But I doubt that will happen.
